About

My name is Rich and I live in the remote wilderness of Nottingham city. In between the day job and being a dad I like to go backpacking as much as possible; to walk and explore remote and wild areas for several days at a time carrying everything I need in a pack. Whenever possible I take my two boys for day walks and wild camps, because being a parent is an excuse to get out even more. I cycle and run most days on roads, trails, sometimes with shoes and sometimes without, I even try and enter the odd fell race. Thanks for taking the time to read.

  1. Wonderful to have found another local microadventurer! The Peak District is my adventure playground too, and I also try to get out and find adventure in wherever it can be found in the UK. I look forward to reading more about your adventures, Jon

  2. I keep on looking at James’ blog to remind myself how good home is – I am riding up through the Balkans at the moment – so much like Scotland. Now a glance at your blog and I want to be home as well. In the morning we will bike through the 36,000Km mark on our bike trip and soon will turn south again. Always want to be somewhere else – love the microadventure projects – great blog my friend.
